Graded Pokémon card prices
PokéItem shows the price of a graded Pokémon card by grading company and by grade, for PSA, PCA, BGS and CCC. Each price states whether it rests on real sales or on an estimate. For PSA, PokéItem also shows the card's population. The scanner reads the company, the grade and the certificate number from the label on the slab.
Reading a graded price in PokéItem

How these prices are set
- Real, verified sales come before price guides.
- Graded sales are kept over a longer period than raw cards, up to a year, because they are rarer.
- The ladder stays consistent: a PSA 10 is not worth less than a PSA 9, and a graded card is not worth less than the same raw card.
- A French graded card is priced on French sales when there are enough of them.
PSA population
The population shows how many copies of a card PSA has graded, grade by grade. PokéItem shows the number of PSA 10s and PSA 9s, the total number of graded copies, the share of 10 grades (“Gem %”) and how this population changes over time. A card with few PSA 10s and strong demand generally sells for more in that grade.
Adding a graded card to your collection
- With the scanner: PokéItem reads the company, the grade and the certificate number from the label.
- By hand: choose the company (PSA, PCA, BGS, CCC or around thirty others) and the grade, and specify a special label (Gold, Black) where applicable.
- The graded card counts towards the collection's value, at its graded price.
Getting a card graded: what to look at
- The price gap between the raw card and the target grade, on the card page.
- The cost and turnaround time of grading, shipping included.
- The population: a very common grade sells for less.
- The card's actual condition: centring, corners, edges and surface decide the grade.
