Article 1: Purpose and relationship with the giveaway
Clipping is a seasonal quest organised by SAS POKEITEM. It rewards the organic reach of social media content about PokéItem with XP.
These rules supplement the giveaway and seasonal quest rules. The eligibility conditions, leaderboard operation and prizes described in the main rules still apply.
For Clipping-specific calculation, validation and penalties, these special rules take precedence if they differ from a general rule.
Article 2: Entrants and period
Clipping is open, with no purchase required, to any entrant who meets the main rules and has a valid PokéItem account.
A post may only be linked to the PokéItem account of the person who controls the social account that published it, or who is expressly authorised to act for that account.
The post and its submission must take place during the same season. A post published before the season opened is not eligible, even if it remains visible or goes viral during the season.
Article 3: Eligible posts
Each post must meet all of the following conditions:
- be a post, video, Reel, Short or public live replay on X, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube — or, on X, a comment or reply under a post — with a stable direct URL; an expiring Story without a lasting public URL is not eligible;
- be public, viewable without following the account or requesting access, and remain available until the review is complete;
- be the entrant's original content, or use material for which they hold all necessary rights and permissions;
- genuinely discuss PokéItem or feature PokéItem in an identifiable way; adding a tag to unrelated content is not enough;
- mention, from the time of publication and in the title, caption or visible text of the submitted content, the correct official account: @pokeitem_ on X, @pokeitem_ on Instagram, @pokeitem on TikTok and @pokeitem on YouTube; when an X comment or reply is submitted, the mention must appear in that comment or reply; a mention in a different comment is not enough;
- reach at least 100 public views when first reviewed by the PokéItem team;
- have organic reach: advertising, paid boosting and purchased traffic are not allowed.
Transparency. Because XP can help an entrant win a prize, the entrant must clearly state that the content takes part in PokéItem Clipping and, where available, use the platform's commercial content or partnership disclosure tool. Mentioning the PokéItem account alone does not replace this disclosure.
Entrants remain free to choose their tone and opinion. PokéItem requires no positive review, script or prior content approval.
Article 4: Submission and review
The entrant pastes the direct URL of each post into PokéItem's Clipping section before the season closes. Each URL may only be submitted once.
- multiple posts may be submitted; the same creation posted on several platforms may be reviewed separately on each platform;
- short links, redirects, profile pages, playlists and URL compilations may be refused: the link must open the post directly;
- every post receives a human review after the season closes and before the leaderboard is made final;
- the public counter visible at the first review is authoritative; if the platform hides or rounds it, the team may ask for a screenshot of native analytics and proof that the entrant controls the account;
- a post that is deleted, made private, inaccessible, substantially altered or impossible to verify before validation earns no XP;
- if requested evidence is not provided within the deadline given by the team, the link is rejected.
The team may accept or reject a link in full. A reasoned rejection may be challenged under the procedure in Article 7.
Article 5: XP calculation and award
For each accepted link, X and TikTok award 1 XP per complete increment of 10 views. Instagram and YouTube have a coefficient of 2 and award 1 XP per complete increment of 5 views.
Each link is calculated separately and rounded down. Remaining views are neither pooled between links nor carried into the next season.
XP from all accepted links is added together and credited after review, before the leaderboard is made final. It is assigned to the season that has just ended even if the technical entry is posted after closing. Later changes to the public counter do not trigger recalculation.
Article 6: Referral link
Adding the entrant's PokéItem referral link or code is optional but recommended. It does not change the coefficient or the amount of Clipping XP calculated from views.
A referral generated by the post may earn referral quest XP under the main rules, up to 3 credited referrals per season. The referred user must meet every validity condition in those rules.
Article 7: Fraud, checks and penalty
Any artificial creation or increase of views is prohibited. Fraud or attempted fraud includes, but is not limited to:
- buying views, traffic, impressions or any other metric, directly or through a provider;
- using bots, scripts, click farms, automated devices, emulators, proxies or viewbotting services;
- repeated refreshing, looping, multiple windows or multiple devices arranged by the entrant to inflate the counter;
- using multiple, fake, compromised or coordinated accounts to generate inauthentic views;
- view-exchange groups, engagement pods, view-for-view schemes, rewards, giveaways or benefits offered solely for watching the content;
- advertising campaigns, paid boosts, sponsored traffic or paid placement, as rewarded reach must be organic;
- autoplay embeds, iframes, pop-unders, misleading redirects or any device that starts the content without a genuine viewer choice;
- adding the PokéItem mention after views were obtained, removing it before review, or deceptively transforming an already popular post;
- submitting the same post repeatedly, URL variants, or another person's post without authorisation;
- forging screenshots, analytics, dates, identity or account ownership, or concealing any traffic source;
- deliberately exploiting a PokéItem or platform bug to obtain undue credit.
Signals considered during review
The team assesses a range of signals and may compare:
- the public counter, supplied native analytics and any invalid-traffic corrections made by the platform;
- the publication date, the date the mention was added, and the geographic and time distribution of views where available;
- the relationship between views, watch time, interactions and the account's usual audience size;
- duplicate URLs, linked accounts, abnormal spikes and repeated patterns across submissions.
Clipping penalty. If fraud or attempted fraud is confirmed, all the entrant's Clipping XP for the current season is set to 0, every pending link is rejected and the entrant can earn no further Clipping XP during that season. XP earned from other quests remains unchanged unless a separate breach of the main rules is established.
The entrant is told the reason for the decision and may submit observations or request a review by emailing contact@pokeitem.fr.
Article 8: Content and responsibility
Entrants are solely responsible for the content they publish. In particular, it must:
- comply with the terms and rules of the relevant platform;
- respect copyright, trade marks, image rights, privacy and all other third-party rights;
- contain no misleading information, impersonation, unlawful, hateful, harassing, dangerous or age-inappropriate material;
- not imply that the entrant is a PokéItem employee, spokesperson or official account.
X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Apple and Google are not organisers or sponsors of Clipping and are not involved in it in any way.
Article 9: Personal data
To operate Clipping, the Organiser processes the PokéItem account identifier, submitted URLs, social account name, public counters, any requested analytics evidence, the review outcome and XP awarded. This data is used only to verify posts, prevent fraud, award XP and handle disputes.
Data is kept for as long as required for those purposes. Entrants may exercise their rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection by emailing contact@pokeitem.fr.
For further information, see the Privacy Policy.
Article 10: Changes and acceptance
Submitting a link constitutes full acceptance of these rules and the main giveaway rules.
The Organiser may amend these rules or the scale. Every change is published on this page and will not retroactively reduce XP already validated.
These rules are governed by French law. Any dispute over their interpretation or application falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
