The story
PokéItem was born from a simple observation: the existing Pokémon TCG collection-management tools don't reflect the reality of the European markets. The prices they show are often based on American or global data, disconnected from what you can actually get when selling on Cardmarket in Europe.
We built PokéItem for European collectors, with prices sourced directly from Cardmarket, the largest European Pokémon card marketplace.
The publisher
PokéItem is published by SAS POKEITEM, a French company registered with the Toulouse Trade and Companies Register (SIREN 105 186 597) and headquartered in Pibrac, Haute-Garonne. Development began in March 2026: the web version launched in beta on 4 April 2026, the iOS app on 30 April 2026 and the Android app on 20 May 2026. PokéItem is an independent project, with no ties to Nintendo, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company.

Our data sources
PokéItem's reliability rests on the quality of its data. Here's where the displayed prices come from:
- →Cardmarket : the lowest "Near Mint" listing in the card's own language, the trend price and prices by condition, on Europe's main card marketplace. It is the primary source for the French, English, Italian, German and Spanish markets
- →eBay : completed sales and active listings, notably for markets outside CardMarket (including Japanese 🇯🇵)
- →PokéItem price index : our reference price, computed from Cardmarket, eBay sales and TCGplayer, updated every 24 hours and shown with a per-card confidence level
- →TCGplayer : supplementary data on international trends
- →PSA Population Reports : for graded cards, rarity data and pop counts
Our blog and our writing agents
The PokéItem blog articles are written by our AI agents (Marvin for card analyses, Hugo for app guides and set news), configured and supervised by our team. Every article is proofread before publication. We're transparent about this use of AI because we believe our readers deserve to know how the content is produced.
The price estimates in articles reflect the data available at the time of writing. The market moves fast, always check a recent market source before making any decision.
