PokéItem 1.2.7: The Pokédex, the Holo Effect and Everything New Since 1.2.1

PokéItem is a French app for managing your Pokémon TCG and One Piece Card Game collection, available on iOS, Android and the web. Version 1.2.7 adds three things you will notice as soon as you open it: a Pokédex of all 1,025 Pokémon that fills up with your cards, a holo effect that makes every card shine according to its finish, and albums with the page layout of your choice.

Between 1.2.1 on 31 August and this 1.2.7, five other versions came out in four weeks, without an article to present them. So this one covers the whole lot: everything that arrived in PokéItem in September 2026, first version by version, then feature by feature.

As always, all these features share the same collection, the same prices and the same account.

The versions released since 1.2.1

Some of these features live on the server: they reached app.pokeitem.fr as soon as they went live, and the mobile app with the version shown.

1. The Pokédex: all 1,025 Pokémon, caught with your cards

The Pokédex opens a new tab on the Collection page, next to cards and sealed products, and Home shows your counter, for example "Pokédex 412/1025", next to "Total collection".

The idea fits in one sentence: a Pokémon is caught as soon as you own one of its cards. Every language counts, so a Japanese Charizard card catches Charizard. Mega, Alolan and Galarian forms count towards their species, and a card featuring two Pokémon, such as Pikachu & Zekrom, catches both.

Two counters move forward side by side, Caught and Scanned. The 1,025 species are laid out in a grid, greyed out until you have them, and can be filtered by generation, type or region, or by "Caught" and "Missing". A search by name or number finds any species.

Each species has its own entry: height, weight, generation, region, description, then "Its story" (appearance, behaviour and, depending on the species, its role in the anime and the origin of its name), a "Did you know?" box and its name in other languages. All 1,025 stories were written from Bulbapedia and Poképédia, then checked one by one against their source. At the bottom of the entry, "My cards" lists your cards of that Pokémon, filterable by language.

The Pokédex is free on every plan, on the web, iOS and Android, and it covers the Pokémon TCG. Its pages are also public: every species can be viewed without an account, in French and English, for example app.pokeitem.fr/en/pokedex/charizard for Charizard.

A quest comes with it, "Pokédex by scanner": 1,000 XP at 10 species, 3,000 XP at 100, 6,000 XP at 250, 12,000 XP at 500 and 25,000 XP for all 1,025. A species counts when you have scanned one of its cards and still own it: adding a card manually fills the Pokédex, but the quest requires the scanner.

2. The holo effect: your cards shine like they do in your hand

On a card's page and in full screen, the image now catches the light of its finish: holo, reverse holo or full art. Tilt your phone and the reflection follows the movement, thanks to the gyroscope. On a computer it follows the mouse, and on a touchscreen it follows your finger.

The effect is free for everyone. On iPhone, permission to access motion data is requested when you open full screen, and if you have turned on Reduce Motion, the reflection stays still.

3. Albums: a showcase for your best cards

An album is a binder you build page by page, like the ones you keep on your shelf. You place the cards you own in it, in whatever order you like. It sits alongside your collection: your collection value, your stats and your card quota stay the same.

• You choose the layout since 1.2.7: pages of 3×3, 4×3 or 4×4, which you can change later without losing a single card;
• You fill it by tapping a sleeve, with "Add to an album" from a card's page, or by scanning an entire binder page (Premium: 10 pages per month, 30 with Premium+);
• Each card takes up a single sleeve, across all your albums, and a blank page is always waiting after the last one;
• Up to 40 pages per album, each album with its own language if you wish.

A free account can create one album, a Premium subscriber up to 30. With "Show on home screen", an album takes the place of your cards preview and its pages scroll by on their own. You can also share it in the feed as soon as it holds three cards: its pages scroll through the post, and your first shared album earns 2,500 XP. Albums are reserved for the Pokémon TCG.

4. A MasterSet your way

1.2.1 introduced the MasterSet view, one tile per version rather than one per card. Yet collectors do not all chase the same versions: some want the Reverse Holos, others the Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns, others still the 1st Editions.

With 1.2.7, the "Count in my MasterSet" row lets you tick the versions that matter to you, among those the set actually has: Reverse Holo, 1st Edition, Poké Ball, Master Ball, Team Rocket, Cosmos Holo… An unticked version disappears from the grid, the progress bar and the Owned, Missing and Duplicates tabs. The base version always counts, and a version added to the catalogue later is counted automatically.

A second row, "Add the Stamps", brings stamped cards in on demand: prereleases, Staff, holiday calendar, retailer stamps, Jumbo cards… They are unticked by default. The setting is free and is saved on the device.

The versions themselves are more accurate: Reverse Holo on the e-Card series, 1st Edition on Neo, the Master Ball slot for the Japanese Pokémon Card 151, a single version for 30th Celebration. And these corrections now arrive from the server, without waiting for an app update.

Two additions go the same way:

• When scanning, if a card comes in several versions, the result screen asks "This card comes in several versions: which one is yours?" before adding it;
• The Duplicates tab joins All, Owned and Missing. A duplicate is the same card, in the same version and the same language, whatever its condition or grade: a Near Mint copy and a damaged copy, or a raw card and its PSA 10 version, make a duplicate. A Normal card and its Reverse Holo, or a French card and its English version, remain two distinct cards.

5. The card page: real sales, TCGplayer and your slabs' history

A card's page now shows real sales in Near Mint and Mint as dots on the raw price chart: you see where the latest transactions actually closed, and not just the trend.

On a card's English tab, a TCGplayer row shows the US platform's "Market average", with a link to the card. And when you own a slab, the page shows its own history, for example "PSA 10 history", with real sales at that grade and a toggle to switch to the raw price chart.

Since 1.2.6, a flag in front of every price shows which language the value comes from. When a language does not yet have its own price, PokéItem shows a fallback price, and the flag says so clearly.

Finally, "Mark as sold" and "Remove from my collection" ask how many copies are involved when you have several: you sell two duplicates out of five without touching the other three.

6. Graded cards: Gold Label, Black Label and PSA population

Not all 10s are created equal. Since 1.2.2, a "Special label" sets exceptional slabs apart: BGS Black Label, CGC Pristine, SGC Pristine, CCC Gold and Black. Each one has its own condition in your collection and its own value. When no sale exists yet for that tier, the value is estimated from the standard 10.

The PSA population now appears on the card page, for free: total number of graded cards, number of PSA 10s with its recent trend, Gem rate, share of PSA 9 and above, grade histogram and the date of the snapshot. It is the information that tells you whether a PSA 10 is rare or common, and until now it was missing next to the price.

Graded values have also become more precise: graded 1st Edition has its own value, grades 8, 8.5 and 9 are now told apart, and French graded cards are priced on the French market as soon as there are enough sales. The details are on our graded Pokémon cards page.

7. Prices that are truer to your card

Prices are still updated every 24 hours, from Cardmarket, eBay sales, TCGplayer and the PSA population. Several method changes arrived in September:

• condition prices (Excellent, Good, Played, Poor) are recalibrated on Cardmarket listings;
• a language's first Near Mint price comes only from listings in that language;
• a damaged copy is valued on the condition price scale of ITS own card, the same in your collection and on the card page, whether your reference is the PokéItem index or Cardmarket;
• charts are cleaned every day: an isolated, aberrant spike from the last few days is removed from the history.

8. The scanner now recognises sealed products too

Since mid-September, the scanner identifies a booster, an ETB, a booster box or a tin from a photo, with the same success screen as a card, then offers to add it to your collection. A sealed product scan counts as a card scan: the free plan includes 20 per month.

The add screen also remembers your last purchase price choice, "Sealed" or "Current rate", so you can add items one after another without entering it again.

For sealed products, "Mark as sold" arrives just as it did for cards: unit sale price, number of copies sold, total. The profit shows up on the Analysis page, reserved for Premium. And the Japanese binder gains 862 Japanese sealed products, booster boxes, boosters, decks and boxed sets, with their value when it is known. 9. The Network: Real or fake, polls and bookmarks

The PokéItem Network gained around ten features in a month. The most awaited: Real or fake.

Real or fake: the community checks your cards

Unsure about a card bought at a flea market or from a listing? The Real or fake tab in Social lets you post up to 8 photos. Other collectors vote "Genuine" or "Counterfeit" and explain their reasoning in replies, with photos to back it up. The verdict comes only from the votes: the app presents it as collectors' opinion, and it stays within that space. You can share your request in the feed and notify your followers once.

The feed, richer and better kept

• Polls: 2 to 4 options, open from one hour to seven days;
• Bookmarks: save a post to your folders (up to 20), privately, nobody is notified;
• Reply to a reply, and attach up to two photos to any reply;
• Share a post outside the app: link, direct message, X, WhatsApp, with an illustrated preview;
• Search the feed, by top posts, latest posts or people;
• Hide a post or a profile, just for you;
• Unique view counter on every post;
• Pull down to refresh the feed.

Promotional links (referral codes, crypto, gambling, adult content) are automatically blocked in posts, replies and messages.

Badges, follow requests and photos in chat

Three badges appear next to the username: PokéItem team, Certified shop, awarded after the team has verified the shop, and PokéItem creator. An account can now link several shops to the directory.

Follow requests can be accepted or declined from the bell, with "Follow back" on the same line, and notification dots flag new requests, new "Real or fake" posts, unread messages and new quests.

In chat, you can send photos, two per message, once the conversation is open. Each photo is automatically checked before it is sent. Messaging is still included with Premium and restricted to users aged 16 and over, as explained on our age and safety page.

Discord

You can now link your Discord account from your profile, then join the PokéItem server at discord.gg/pokeitem. Both steps are verified by the bot and each one earns 5,000 XP.

10. Quests, Clipping and Season 1

The new quests

The TCG Kingdom weekend, on 14 and 15 November 2026, also opens a 5,000 XP quest for three referrals made by QR code over those two days.

To make sure the leaderboard rewards genuine collectors, a few rules have been clarified: a referral counts when the referred friend actually uses the app (verified email, 10 cards, 5 days of logins), at most three referrals earn XP per season, and a collection milestone must be held for 7 days to keep its XP.

Clipping: your videos earn XP

The Clipping tab joins the Social hub, between Chat and Quests. During the season, you publish a video or a post about PokéItem on X, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, you submit the link, the team checks it, and XP is credited according to the number of views: 1 XP per 10 views on X and TikTok, 1 XP per 5 views on Instagram and YouTube, from 100 views. The tab also holds the brand kit: logos, PokéItem blue, iPhone mockups of the app and a ready-to-copy description. Clipping is open to every account.

Season 1 grows to 52 winners

Two prizes have joined Season 1: the 30th Celebration Sylveon ex Box and 30th Celebration Greninja ex Box. The season runs until 30 November 2026 at 23:59 (Paris time) and now rewards 52 participants, with a prize pool of around €1,080:

Entry is free, from the Quests tab. The full rules are published at pokeitem.fr/en/jeux-concours. On the leaderboard, a trainer's username leads to their public profile.

11. Your account: QR code sign-in and PokéCardex import

• Sign in on a computer without a password: the website's sign-in page shows a QR code, and in the app, "Sign in on a computer" scans it. The session opens on the computer;
• Add an email and a password from Settings, even if you signed up with Apple or Google. Password reset also works for these accounts;
• Import your PokéCardex collection: in Settings, "Import from PokéCardex" accepts the CSV file exported from your pokecardex.com profile. Quantities, condition, language and version are carried over, and any unrecognised rows are listed for you. A free account can import up to 1,000 cards;
• The creator programme: a creator code can be entered at sign-up, or within the following 7 days. Creators get a Creator space with their referrals, their subscribers and their earnings, plus QR codes named per campaign. The terms are on the affiliate programme page;
• Deleting an account happens in two steps: the account is first deactivated and can still be recovered, then it is permanently erased after 30 days.

12. Search, Home and navigation

Search now finds the right card far more often:

• a set filter, and relevance sorting that puts the cards collectors own most at the top;
• a typo gets a suggestion, "Did you mean: Dracaufeu?" for "dracofeu", on the French name of Charizard;
• symbols and expressions are understood: "gold star" (or the French "étoile d'or") finds ☆ cards, "delta" finds δ cards, and French queries such as "mega dracaufeu x" or "evoli 151" land on the right card;
• accents are ignored everywhere, handy with French names: "evoli" finds Évoli (Eevee), "eveil des legendes" finds Éveil des Légendes (Legends Awakened).

Home has been redesigned, and the Binder tab leaves the navigation bar: everything now starts from Home and Collection. Home shows a preview of your graded cards with their total, the total of your sealed products, and shortcuts to your albums, your graded cards, your duplicates and your wish list. "All my cards" can be filtered to All, Raw or Graded, and the "Which copies" selector can add up every language in your collection.

A few details that make a daily difference: when you come back from a card page, you land at the same place in the list; each binder page shows a single language; the "Total collection" chart is shown to everyone on desktop; and the app starts faster on mobile.

13. The catalogue grows

• 30th Celebration (code 30C): cards and sealed products in every language, the "30C" badge, the "Futuristic Rare" rarity for Mewtwo ex 157 and Mew ex 158 and "RGB Rare" for the three RGB Mew cards, in the order of the official checklist;
• Battle Academy, sorted into three series: 2020, 2022 and 2024;
• Pikachu World Collection, with one card per language;
• Pokémon TCG Classic and its three English-language decks: Charizard & Ho-Oh ex Deck, Venusaur & Lugia ex Deck, Blastoise & Suicune ex Deck;
• the international 2018 and 2019 McDonald's Collection promos, and the Reverse Holo slot for the French McDonald's 2018 and 2019 sets;
• in the Japanese binder: set logos in Japanese with their titles in your language, 30th CELEBRATION, the Masaki promos, Vending series 1 to 3, Neo Premium File 1 to 3, Southern Islands, fourteen families of unnumbered promos and the Master Ball slot for Pokémon Card 151.

14. A public page for every card and every Pokémon

Two sets of pages can now be viewed without an account, from a browser or a search engine:

• More than 22,000 card pages, at a readable address, published in French, for example app.pokeitem.fr/carte/flammes-obsidiennes/125-dracaufeu-ex for Charizard ex from Obsidian Flames. Each one gives the reference value, the value per language (PokéItem index and Cardmarket Near Mint, with its confidence level), the printings, the 90-day trend and the card's name in other languages;
• All 1,025 Pokédex entries, in French and English, from app.pokeitem.fr/en/pokedex.

What these updates fix

• iOS 27: 1.2.4 would not open on iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. 1.2.5, released overnight from 18 to 19 September, fixed the problem, with no collection data lost;
• the scanner is better at detecting a well-framed card, and the screen shows its progress;
• eBay sales in dollars are converted to euros;
• the collection value is the same on Home and in the binder;
• holo cards show their real price in search, and the sealed product chart follows their value;
• screens you have already visited appear instantly, and the offline cache no longer saturates a weak connection;
• a locked language opens the subscription offer instead of a button that did nothing;
• the app is lighter, faster and more stable.

Why this September changes PokéItem

Until now, a collection was read set by set. The Pokédex adds a second axis, the species, the one many collectors started with: gathering every Pokémon, whatever the card. Albums and the MasterSet your way go in the same direction: your collection is organised the way you think about it, rather than only the way the catalogue divides it.

The other common thread is trust. Real or fake, the PSA population, real sales on the chart and the language flag in front of every price give each figure its origin. And the public pages for cards and the Pokédex make this information available to everyone, without installing the app.

Export your collection as a CSV file from your pokecardex.com profile, then open Settings in PokéItem and choose "Import from PokéCardex".
