Legacy of the Master (OP-12): Cards, Rarities and Prices
The twelfth main One Piece Card Game booster, released in English and French on 22 August 2025: how many cards, which Leaders, which rarities, and what the 3rd Anniversary Marshall.D.Teach cards and the Bonney Super Alt-Art are worth.
Legacy of the Master (code OP-12) is the twelfth main booster (OP) of the One Piece Card Game. It came out in Japan on 31 May 2025 as 師弟の絆, then in English on 22 August 2025, the same day as the French edition. Its theme is the bond between masters and students: Rayleigh and Luffy, Mihawk and Zoro, Rosinante and Law. Bandai lists 128 card types plus 1 DON!! card, and 155 different artworks once the Alt-Arts are counted. Its most expensive card is the gold 3rd Anniversary Special Card of Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-093): 2,001 € on the PokéItem index for the English copy and 1,599 € for the French one, on 1 November 2026.

Release timing: Japan, English and French editions
OP-12 is the first set to launch on the same day in English and French: both editions came out on 22 August 2025. Before that, the French edition trailed the English one: by eight weeks for Emperors in the New World (OP-09), five for Royal Blood (OP-10) and two for A Fist of Divine Speed (OP-11).
The gap with Japan, on the other hand, stays at about three months: the set had launched there on 31 May 2025 as 師弟の絆, "the bond between master and student". For collectors, this means the English and French OP-12 cards hit the market together, and their prices started out at the same time.
Masters and students: what's inside OP-12
Bandai presents the set as a booster built around strong bonds. Each Leader comes with their circle:
- Silvers Rayleigh, Luffy's mentor, as a Red Leader. His effect sets an unusual deckbuilding restriction: you cannot include cards with a cost of 5 or more in your deck.
- Roronoa Zoro and Sanji, Luffy's "two wings" as Bandai calls them, each get a Leader. Zoro comes with his master Dracule Mihawk and with Perona; Sanji with his sister Vinsmoke Reiju.
- Kuzan, a Blue {Navy} Leader, with Monkey.D.Garp as a Super Rare.
- Donquixote Rosinante, whose Leader effect protects and speeds up Trafalgar Law, the child he saved.
- Koala, a Black/Yellow Revolutionary Army Leader, with Monkey.D.Dragon, Nico Robin and Bartholomew Kuma.
How many cards are in OP-12?
As with earlier boosters, several numbers go around (119, 128, 155), and they are all correct:
- 119: the numbers of the main list, from OP12-001 to OP12-119;
- 128 + 1: Bandai's official count, which adds the 6 SP cards, the Treasure Rare and the two 3rd Anniversary Special Cards to the 119 numbers, plus the DON!! card;
- 155: the number of different artworks in the official card list, Alt-Arts included.
| Rarity | Cards |
|---|---|
| Leader (L) | 6 |
| Common (C) | 45 |
| Uncommon (UC) | 30 |
| Rare (R) | 26 |
| Super Rare (SR) | 10 |
| Secret Rare (SEC) | 2 |
| SP card | 6 |
| Treasure Rare (TR) | 1 |
| 3rd Anniversary Special Card | 2 |
| DON!! card | 1 |
Getting to 155 artworks: 119 base cards, plus 27 Alt-Arts (the 6 Leaders, 8 Rares, the 10 Super Rares and 3 alternate versions of the Secret Rares), plus the 6 SPs, the 2 anniversary cards and the Treasure Rare. That is the count for an OP-12 "master set", without the DON!!.
The 6 OP-12 Leaders

| No. | Leader | Color | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| OP12-001 | Silvers Rayleigh | Red | Former Roger Pirates |
| OP12-020 | Roronoa Zoro | Green | Supernovas / Straw Hat Crew |
| OP12-040 | Kuzan | Blue | Navy |
| OP12-041 | Sanji | Blue / Purple | The Vinsmoke Family / Straw Hat Crew |
| OP12-061 | Donquixote Rosinante | Purple / Yellow | Navy / Donquixote Pirates |
| OP12-081 | Koala | Black / Yellow | Dressrosa / Revolutionary Army |
Every Leader also comes as an Alt-Art. On French cards, Donquixote is spelled Don Quijote.
OP-12 rarities
A quick reminder: in the One Piece Card Game, it is the version of a card that drives its value, not its number. The OP-09 guide covers each rarity in detail. In OP-12:
- 3rd Anniversary Special Cards: two versions of Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-093), one gold, one silver, in the ornate anniversary frame. They follow the two Luffy cards from OP-11.
- Super Alt-Art: just one, the Secret Rare Jewelry Bonney (OP12-118), set against manga panels.
- Secret Rare: Jewelry Bonney (OP12-118), in base, Alt-Art and Super Alt-Art versions, and Bartholomew Kuma (OP12-119), in base and Alt-Art versions.
- Treasure Rare: each edition has its own. In English, it is Vinsmoke Sanji (OP10-063); in French, Sabo (OP10-049). Both are Royal Blood cards reprinted as Treasure Rares.
- SP cards: six cards from older sets with new artwork: Tashigi (OP06-050), Yasopp (OP09-013), Lim (OP09-037), Kuzan (OP10-082), Portgas.D.Ace (ST13-011) and Zoro-Juurou (ST18-004).
- Alt-Arts: 27, including two manga-style Event cards, Zoro's nine-sword attack Demon Aura Nine Sword Style Asura Blades Drawn Dead Man's Game (OP12-037) and Boeuf Burst (OP12-060).
The most expensive cards of OP-12

Marshall.D.Teach, gold 3rd Anniversary Special Card (OP09-093) Black Character, cost 10, power 12,000
In Emperors in the New World, Blackbeard's Super Alt-Art already outpriced those of Shanks and Buggy in French. He returns in OP-12 as an anniversary card with the same effect: a [Blocker] that, on the turn he is played with a {Blackbeard Pirates} Leader, negates the effect of your opponent's Leader, then the effect of one of their Characters, which also cannot attack.
2,001 € on the PokéItem index for the English copy, against 1,599 € for the French one (recorded 1 November 2026).
The table gives the PokéItem index for the key OP-12 cards in both editions, for an ungraded Near Mint copy. Recorded 1 November 2026.
| Card | Version | PokéItem index EN | PokéItem index FR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-093) | 3rd Anniversary Special, gold | 2,001 € | 1,599 € |
| Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-093) | 3rd Anniversary Special, silver | 1,390 € | 670 € |
| Jewelry Bonney (OP12-118) | Super Alt-Art | 500 € | 380 € |
| Zoro-Juurou (ST18-004) | SP | 149 € | 105 € |
| Demon Aura Nine Sword Style Asura Blades Drawn Dead Man's Game (OP12-037) | Event Alt-Art | 136 € | 80 € |
| Portgas.D.Ace (ST13-011) | SP | 90 € | 70 € |
| Kuzan (OP10-082) | SP | 62 € | 55 € |
| Boeuf Burst (OP12-060) | Event Alt-Art | 60 € | 55 € |
| Tashigi (OP06-050) | SP | 39 € | 30 € |
| Lim (OP09-037) | SP | 29 € | 34 € |
| Yasopp (OP09-013) | SP | 27 € | 30 € |
| Donquixote Rosinante (OP12-061) | Leader Alt-Art | 22 € | 24 € |
| Silvers Rayleigh (OP12-001) | Leader Alt-Art | 22 € | 18 € |
| Jewelry Bonney (OP12-118) | Secret Rare Alt-Art | 15 € | 14 € |
| Jewelry Bonney (OP12-118) | Secret Rare | 6.45 € | 3.80 € |
| Sabo (OP10-049) | Treasure Rare | French edition only | 94 € |

What these numbers tell you:
1. The French edition trades lower, and much lower on the silver Teach. The gold Teach sits at 2,001 € in English against 1,599 € in French, about 20% less. On the silver one the gap widens: 1,390 € in English, 670 € in French. On almost every key OP-12 card the French copy is the cheaper one; only the Lim and Yasopp SPs and the Rosinante Leader Alt-Art (22 € in English, 24 € in French) go the other way.
2. The Treasure Rare carries less weight than in the two previous sets. In Royal Blood and A Fist of Divine Speed, the French edition's Treasure Rare ranked above the Super Alt-Art. In OP-12, the French Treasure Rare Sabo sits at 94 €, far behind Bonney's Super Alt-Art (500 € in English, 380 € in French) and the two anniversary cards. It exists only in the French edition, so only the French market prices it.
3. The mid-range SPs stay within reach. Between 27 € and 149 € in English (30 € to 105 € in French), the six OP-12 SPs let you own a rare version of a well-known character, such as Zoro-Juurou or Ace, without chasing the anniversary cards.
4. The base card is worth almost nothing. The base Bonney Secret Rare trades around 6.45 € in English and 3.80 € in French, while its Super Alt-Art reaches 500 € and 380 €: in French, that is a factor of 100.

The Zoro-Juurou and Ace SPs are the two most expensive SPs in the set: 149 € and 90 € in English, 105 € and 70 € in French. They revisit preconstructed deck cards, the Zoro-Juurou from STARTER DECK -Purple Monkey.D.Luffy- [ST-18] and the Ace from ULTRA DECK -The Three Brothers- [ST-13], with artwork made for OP-12.
The French edition: its own Treasure Rare
OP-12 came out in French as L'Héritage du Maître, on the same day as the English edition. Three things set it apart:
- its Treasure Rare: Sabo (OP10-049), 94 € on the PokéItem index, where the English edition has Vinsmoke Sanji (OP10-063);
- its prices: lower than in English on almost every key card, as the table shows, and its booster box costs less too (see below);
- its card names: Donquixote is printed Don Quijote.

On 1 November 2026, the lowest Cardmarket offer for an English OP-12 booster box was 210 €, against 180 € for a French one, and a single French pack went for about 3.40 €.
Open packs or buy singles?
The two anniversary Teach cards and Bonney's Super Alt-Art hold most of the value, and Bandai does not publish their pull rates. Opening a booster box (210 € in English, 180 € in French) in the hope of pulling the gold Teach is a gamble; for a specific card, buying the single is the safer route, and if the language does not matter to you, the French copy usually costs less.
A box makes sense for players, who get six playable Leaders, including Rayleigh and his deck with no card costing 5 or more, and for collectors who enjoy opening packs without expecting to break even. For any card above 100 €, ask for front and back photos and compare English and French listings.
Track your OP-12 collection in PokéItem
PokéItem, the card collection app created in France and used worldwide, tracks the One Piece Card Game in English, French and Japanese. One Piece can be your included game, chosen at sign-up; otherwise, it comes with the Premium+ subscription. Each card is valued on the market of its own language, with a fallback price when that language does not have a price of its own yet.
- Every version has its own line: the base Bonney, its Alt-Art, its Super Alt-Art and the two anniversary Teach cards are separate cards in the binder, in the scanner and in the valuation. The MasterSet view shows one tile per version.
- The scanner recognizes One Piece cards: one photo is enough to add a card to your binder.
- Two prices per card: the lowest Near Mint offer on Cardmarket in the card's language, and the PokéItem index, updated every 24 hours, following the published method.
- Several games in one account: the switcher in the header moves between Pokémon, One Piece and the other games tracked.
The arrival of One Piece in the app is covered in the PokéItem 1.2.1 article. The app is available on iOS, Android and at app.pokeitem.fr.
